One of the main pioneers of Swedish golf, he became the first of his countryman to capture a European Tour title when he won the Epson Grand Prix of Europe in 1986, the first of his three victories. Subsequently became the first Swede to win twice on The European Tour, after Anders Forsbrand and Mats Lanner had broken through, when he won the Renault Open de Baleares in 1989. Becomes eligible for the Senior Tour when he turns 50 on October 15. The ski enthusiast currently serves on The European Tour Board of Directors.
