Introduced to golf by his father Lars, a four handicapper. Got down to scratch by the age of 17, played for Sweden’s Boys side in 1988 and made the full national team three years later. Spent a year at junior college in Alabama between 1993 and 1994. Made relatively slow progress over the first five years of his professional career, but first qualified for the European Tour through the Challenge Tour in 2000. Has won three titles apiece on the Challenge Tour and European Tour, most recently the 2014 Lyoness Open.
